SABIC had a decentralized system of collating brand collateral and product photos, cataloging the images and providing product and marketing managers with these assets to use in advertising, marketing collateral, packaging and web applications. Many system inefficiencies existed, resulting in a lack of a complete cataloguing system thus incurring time delays to locate and receive images and assets.
MVG Media was tasked with building a Web-based, globally accessible digital tool to organize and store current and archived product images and brand assets. A simplified process for adding assets needed to be established, along with a plan for migrating existing assets to the new site. The tool had to be user-friendly, yet contain a relevant combination of image formats and styles to accommodate customer requirements. Images would need to be available by download as well as custom order via a fulfillment partner.
Our Solution
- MVG created a convenient, intuitive, database-driven Web site that allows users global access to hundreds of product images and assets.
- Security features permit only specific users to download prereleased product images and assets
- The online library has a search and browse function for easy image location, with various product styles, formats and resolutions.
- This solution has provided significant time and resource savings for SABIC and offers scalable functionality for additional uses.
