With a branded estate of 204 venues, Luminar has the largest square footage of nightclub capacity in the country. Owners of leading entertainment brands such as Liquid clubs, Oceana, Jumpin Jaks and Chicago Rock Café, Luminar's portfolio brands are innovators in their field. Public dancing is at the heart of their business and they have an unrivalled ability to provide the best dancing experience around. Offering different experiences to different people at different times, Luminar are opening up their venues to become the first choice for public dancing, live entertainment, and also, corporate and private events.
In 2005 Luminar revised their strategy and mission to aim to achieve the highest standard of customer service and entertainment in the leisure industry by offering value for money within their venues to support their employees and develop their potential to achieve and exceed their income targets and maximise shareholder value.''
In 2006 Luminar commissioned MVG Media to redevelop their corporate website: www.luminar.co.uk. Primarily the requirement is to re-organise, modernise and align the website to reflect and acknowledge their company objectives. A further requirement was to improve shareholder knowledge of the company and the marketplace. The site was also required to present a positive and professional picture of Luminar to attract new investors – information needed to be displayed in an intuitive and clear fashion facilitating the decimation of information. Critically, their existing Luminar website was not DDA Compliant and did not meet the guidelines required to be considered Accessible, a key requirement for today's Corporate Websites.
Our solution
Our solution for the Luminar Web site communicates the organization's mission and its personality. Each page is fresh and inviting. MVG used a combination of a simplistic monochrome interface coupled with strong colourful imagery of the venues to endow the site with a clear corporate message, whilst showcasing the unique and different venues in their portfolio. The architecture of the site was reorganized to facilitate navigation and ensure all information is now accessible, clear and concise. The Administration features were redeveloped to ensure ongoing maintenance of the site is intuitive ensuring accurate information is presented at all times. Luminar can now be proud of a competitive, contemporary website that whilst differentiating in its field, is accessible and demonstrates their commitment to their staff, customers and shareholders alike.
