Working to create the UK's leading destination entertainment business, Luminar Leisure PLC own over 204 popular venues in the UK, where people can meet, eat, drink and dance. With a branded estate of huge brands including Liquid and Oceana clubs, Luminar have the largest square footage of nightclub capacity in the country. In 2000 Luminar recognized the huge potential of ecommerce and MVG were commissioned to design develop and build an online events and ticketing system for the various clubs in the Luminar portfolio. This huge challenge included the requirement for extensive data capture, statistical and reporting features, with complex and intricate integration with Luminar's financial systems to be considered.
Our solution
- In 2002 www.tick.it was launched – to date taking online revenue from £0 to over £2 million in under 5 years. An increased visitor rate of a phenomenal 50% year on year.
- This robust system manages over 40,000 hits at its peak seasonal periods.
- A simple and intuitive system that quickly and easily enables customers to purchase tickets for events 24/7.
- A full training schedule and workshops for administrators and a logged support service is available to unit managers and customers that ensure any problems could be dealt with quickly and efficiently. (This service was quickly scaled down as it was rarely used due to the lack of operational issues with the system).
