Darren Turner is an independent driver whom has been racing professionally for nearly 10 years. Having previously been a McLaren Formula 1 test driver, and more recently driving for huge brands such as Audi and Aston Martin. In a highly successful career Darren has been on the podium at LeMans and has won some major events such as ALMS / LMES, currently Darren races touring cars for SEAT.
Darren approached MVG Media in 2003 having seen our extensive experience in producing slick websites for the motor racing industry. In this instance, Darren needed a self promoting website that appealed to not only to race fans but also team bosses and the media. Primarily an information resource, Darren needed a highly designed website that could easily be refreshed and kept up to date with his news and imagery.
Our Solution
- Collaborating with prestigious design consultants Zero Collective, we created a website that was developed using clean, slick well composed pages with simple navigation.
- The look and feel of the website focused on using Darren’s compelling and iconic racing photography acting as the backbone of the website.
- A resume and downloadable CV was made available for team bosses and media professionals.
- The challenge was to create a sharp front end that represented the glamorous side of motor sport whilst not compromising web standards, accessibility, search engine recognition and updatability via CMS.
